BIG RIVER COUNTRY

In the Heart of Beautiful British Columbia.

Printable Big River Country Map Big River Country is a vast wilderness region of 22,500 km (8,700 square miles) dotted with hundreds of pristine lakes and streams offering one of the best fishing opportunities in Canada. From the Nechako River on our northern boundary, to the Entiako and Blackwater rivers in the south to the Dean River at the most southern edge - our region is a fishing paradise.

Here you'll find world class fly fishing adventures for steelhead, salmon, rainbow and cutthroat trout that guarantee a trip of a lifetime. Anglers can troll or cast from sunrise to sunset on the many lakes teeming with rainbow trout and kokanee. The Nechako River offers incredible viewing of the age old ritual of chinook salmon spawning late August through September and is also home to the endangered Nechako white sturgeon - a protected species.

Our remote wilderness lodges and cabins, family oriented resorts and well managed campsites for RV's cater to every need. We offer perfect places to hang your hat after each glorious day where you will enjoy our warm and inviting backcountry hospitality.
