Areas in northwestern Alberta affected by the fire ban

EDMONTON - The fire ban perimeter is as follows:

* From the northwest corner of the province east to the Wood Buffalo National Park border.

* South along the border of Wood Buffalo National Park.

* South from the southwest corner of Wood Buffalo National Park to the Panny River (located at the 25th Baseline).

* West from the Panny River to the Peace River.

* North along the Peace River to the 27th Baseline (6 kilometres north of Highway 697).

* West to the B.C. border.

* North along the B.C. border to the northwest corner of the province.

The southern border of the fire ban area is approximately 430 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
