Fire Bans Lifted In Provincial Parks And Recreation Areas

EDMONTON - Fires are now permitted in designated campfire facilities within the boundaries of all provincial parks and recreation areas. The last of the fire bans were lifted at the following sites this week:

* Big Hill Springs Provincial Park
* Chain Lakes Provincial Park
* Cypress Hills Provincial Park
* Dinosaur Provincial Park
* Lake McGregor Provincial Recreation Area
* Little Bow Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
* Little Fish Lake Provincial Park
* Oldman River Provincial Recreation Area
* Payne Lake Provincial Recreation Area
* Plateau Mountain Ecological Reserve
* Police Outpost Provincial Park
* St. Mary Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
* Steveville Ferry Site (forming part of Dinosaur Provincial Park)
* Travers Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
* Willow Creek Provincial Park
* Woolford Provincial Park

As well, the road, trail, and campground closures in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park - Alberta have been lifted, opening all trails and campgrounds for public use.
