Campfires Banned in South Island Provincial Parks

VICTORIA - Campfires are banned immediately due to extremely dry conditions in the following provincial parks:

* Montague Harbour (Galiano Island)
* Prior Centennial (North Pender Island)
* Ruckle (Saltspring Island)
* Newcastle Island (Nanaimo)
* Bamberton (Mill Bay)
* McDonald (Sidney)

Year-round permanent campfire bans exist in the following parks:
* Beaumont (South Pender Island)
* Cabbage Island
* D'Arcy Island
* Dionisio Point (Galiano Island)
* Discovery Island
* Isle-de-Lis (Rum Island)
* John Dean
* Pirates Cove (De Courcy Island)
* Princess Margaret (Portland Island)
* Sidney Spit (Sidney Island)
* Wallace Island
* Winter Cove (Saturna Island)
* Chemainus River
* Koksilah River
