This region includes all of Vancouver Island, as well as two management units on the mainland between Seymour Inlet and Loughborough Inlet.

Rugged coastal mountains characterize most of this region, which stretch north to the Homathko River watershed, and east to the Lillooet River watershed. It also includes the Coquihalla and Chilliwack River watersheds.

As the name implies, this region includes the Thompson River and Nicola River watersheds. The western portion of this region is formed by the Bridge River, Cayoosh Creek, Stein River and Nahatlatch River watersheds.

Region 4 is located within the Rocky Mountain and Columbia Mountain ranges of south-east BC. The Arrow Lakes watershed forms the western boundary of this region, starting near the Mica Dam.

This diverse region includes the mid coast (near Bella Coola), the Chilcotin River watershed, the Nazko River watershed, and the Quesnel River watersheds. Other areas are included in this region - consult fishing regulations for more information.

This region covers several watersheds draining north coast rivers. Starting at the southern border, the watersheds include the Kitlope River, Skeena River, Nass River, Stikine River, and Taku River watersheds. The northern most sections of this region includes Atlin Lake, Teslin River, Tatsenshini River and Dease River watersheds.

BC's largest region includes Pacific and Arctic drainages, and is divided into two sections - 7A and 7B. This region consists of several major watersheds, including the Liard River, Peace River and Upper Fraser River watersheds. The Takla Lake/Stuart River watershed is also part of this region, as well as Chilako River watershed and lower sections of the Nechako River watershed.

The Okanagan River watershed forms the boundary for this region, and includes the Simalkameen River watershed.
