GETTING STARTED

MATERIALS NEEDED
  • Hook: TMC 2312 Size 14
  • Thread: 8/0 Black
  • Body: Dazzle-Link Dubbing
  • Head: Fire Orange Dubbing
  • Wings: Black Marabou
Step 1: Dub a small butt section on the fly with the Dazzle-link dubbing.
Step 2: Tie in the first black marabou wing and pull off fiber tips to make the wing about 3/8" long.
Step 3: Dub some more dazzle-link onto thread.
Step 4: Wrap dubbing around hook to form the first section of body.
Step 5: Tie in another black marabou wing.
Step 6: Dub more dazzle-link onto thread and wrap forward to form the 2nd section of body.
Step 7: Tie in the last black marabou wing.
Step 8: Dub some fire orange dubbing onto thread and wrap forward to form the egghead on the fly.
Step 9: Whip finish and the fly is ready for the water.
